PERFORMANCE IN HIS BLOOD

At the age of 14 years, André Dessoude worked in a garage in his parish as a mechanic’s apprentice.
At the age of 17 years, he became responsible for the workshop.
At the age of 18 years, he obtained his driving licence and since then he has never let go of the wheel.
He quickly connected the local and nationals rallies by preparing the cars himself (R8 Gordini, Alpine, Lancia, Alfa, Porsche and Nissan) and won all or most of his rallies. His talents of preparation were famous.

In 1980, he opened his first garage and started to prepare his car to take part of the Paris Dakar and the World cup FIA of the rallies raids. One year later, he returned to the African speedways but this time with two cars. In 1982, a new team is created, the TEAM Dessoude - Richard in partnership with Nissan France.

In the middle of 1985, always on research of the best performance, he decided to make a prototype instead of 2 cars he made only one.
His innovation left a mark in the spirits.

The Owner of NISSAN arrived in his workshops and was extremely excited about his idea. At the end of the interview, the Japanese manufacturer gave him three new cars. Andre Dessoude changed them to racing cars and he won many times the production categories of the World cup of the Rallies Raids.
The sport progressed rapidly as did the career of the contractor. The owner of the small garage wanted to increase his firm. Two other NISSAN distributors were created, one in Cherbourg, and the other one in Caen. He then built new buildings for his enterprise in Saint-Lo.

In the town of Cherbourg, Renault was also created. Hundreds of cars leave each year from these three distributors. Objective 2006: 670 cars which is equivalent of a 120% of the contract. The competition grows bigger year after year. Hundreds of competition cars were built, international markets expanded, victories followed one another and Andre Dessoude has become an emblem of the Dakar and the World cup of the Rallys Raids with more than 25 participants and 6 to 10 races contested per year.

Today, the business venture continues with a human structure composed of 20 to 40 people, increasingly with powerful vehicles and not less than 10 racing cars at the departure of each Dakar.

LINKS BETWEEN André DESSOUDE AND NISSAN

Since the beginning of his career, André Dessoude has maintained strong links with NISSAN. A relationship of confidence was established and NISSAN called upon the structure Dessoude to promote its products and its brand in rallys raids.

In 2002, the Nissan Dessoude team hired Johnny Hallyday for the promotion of the X-trail. It will be a gigantic success and a lot of repercussions will occur.
The same year, the Nissan Dessoude team took charge of the Dakar for 4 days with Gregoire de Mevius and Stephan Peterhansel on a Nissan pick up.

At the present time with the crew of Christian Lavieille and Arnaud Debron they must gain the title of the World cup of the Rallys Raids in the production category. The Nissan Dessoude team works hard for the promotion of the vehicle NISSAN PATHFINDER.
